1. Do you add your margin on top?

No we do not. As part of the "taking the brief" process, the $ daily rate payable to the Talent will be discussed. We in turn have a discussion with the consultant advising what the daily rate is inclusive of the aCE talentNET marketing fee of 25%.

2. What will it cost us?

You do not pay for the aCE talentNET services in terms of matching your Organisational Development need with the best-fit Talent. (Note: should you engage aCE talentNET to assist with direct Management Consulting assistance, then that would be charged accordingly)

3. How soon can I get someone to start?

As soon as we have the Brief, then we search and we usually have someone identified and negotiations commenced within days of the initial contact.

4. What is the process to look at some profiles of potential consultants?

  • Potential Talent is sourced based on a specific brief.
  • Search the aCE talentNET database of Talent
  • Send direct personalised emails to appropriate people asking them their direct interest, or to explore their network.
  • Should the need arise and OK given; advertise the opportunity on a Job Board, and other relevant web sites.
  • All candidates' background and experience is investigated to determine relevance to the brief.
  • A short list will be determined.
  • Formal and informal reference checks are conducted. Formal references would be based on names provided by the candidate while informal checks would be based on the candidate's reputation within the industry, where accessible and appropriate.
  • Profiles/CVs of the appropriate Talent is then emailed for perusal and comment
  • Phone and in person interviews would be organised, and executed if required.
  • If successful, rates and conditions would be negotiated.
  • Upon request, aCE would organise the signing of the client contract and confidentiality agreements.

5. What if I need specialty accreditations / qualifications?

Easy. We have built the database in such a way that we can search on the most specific of requests. And if worse came to worse and we didn't have anyone appear in our initial search, we are very well networked so we could find someone who would know someone who could assist.

6. Do you only deal with consultants in OD, L&D, HR?

That is our speciality, however…as noted above, the aCE talentNET networks spread far and wide so if we don't know someone, we will know someone who does.

7. I need to find some consultants to help me with my project, and I’m a consultant too, can you help?

Definitely. Many of our clients are consultants just like you.
As consultants move from projects to full-time roles, it is quite normal for us to source consultants to both scenarios

8. New to the world of Consulting?

Independent Contractors of Australia is a great source of information for Independents consultants and contractors. Via the ICA website they advise that the ATO has developed an excellent section on its website which is recommended to all independent contractors/small business people---whether they are starting as a business or operating as an existing business

The information is simple, factual and without any marketing 'spin' which can sometimes colour the opinions given by tax planners and advisors. The ATO information is presented in a user-friendly 'layered' style where you can access key information and then cross-reference to more detail according to your requirements. If you understand the basic facts, you are better armed to make decisions regarding your preferred business structure and the tax issues and obligations that flow from that. The information also provides links to registration information and processes you may require. Click here for this key ATO website link.

aCE talentNET has also created a very basic flowchart in terms of what questions we're looking to have answered when setting up as a member of our Talent pool... click here for details.

9. How do I update my profile?

  1. Click on “Log On”
  2. Use your existing details to log in.
  3. If you cannot remember your password etc, click on the appropriate link to access it.
  4. Fill in as much detail as possible on your profile as that is what aCE talentNET search on when filling opportunities
